whole internet marketing group is based on a concept that
we call Open Source Marketing because it is VERY similar
to the massive Open Source Software movement.
Open Source Software
The concept of open source software started when
programmers began collaborating online to build new
technical platforms and systems in response to the high
cost and problems of commercial software.
Freed from institutional red-tape, hierarchy and
shareholder responsibility the ideas flowed fast and
furious through these online communities. The rewards
weren't profit but the buzz of collaboration, the
intellectual challenge and the opportunity to shake things
up by showing the commercial world a thing or two.
At the heart of the process was the community's
willingness to share programming source code between each
other and by any measure, the results have been staggering
in such way that even Microsoft called the Linux
phenomenon as threat number one.
Today around 75% of all internet servers use Linux based
systems with millions of websites and desktop users that
use a wide range of open source software.
Open Source Marketing
The foundation of the open source marketing concept
is based on the following.
- Development of different marketing websites and
concepts with free or very cheap services, backed by
the cross marketing power of the whole group,
including participating business owners, to generate
traffic.
- Co-operation with other businesses and people to
provide content to promote their businesses and the
group so that we all can benefit from the
ever-increasing marketing power thereof
- Centralised advertising so that the statistics of
the whole group will be sufficient to draw commercial
advertisers
- Plough of all income from commercial advertisers
100% back into further marketing in order to create a
snowball marketing effect.
The marketing group are regarded as a non-profit
section and separate from the income generating side of
the business and while it’s difficult for people to
understand it’s actually very easy.
Above marketing group was created to promote our products
and services and those of our advertisers and
“partner” businesses and not to generate income.
We generate our income from web hosting, affiliate and
other income programs and the marketing websites plus
“income” from commercial advertisers is merely a
tool to promote such income streams.
Due to above it can therefore be regarded as an Open
Source Marketing group that belongs to everybody involved
and you get what you put into it.
You can pay a nice sum for commercial software or you
can get open source software for free or very cheap and
put some effort into it to tweak it to your satisfaction.
You can pay a nice sum to advertise on a commercial
website or you can advertise on an open source marketing
website and contribute to generate more visitors.
That’s the difference between
the commercial world and open source world
The MONEY DRIVEN commercial world where you PAY huge
amounts for other people to do something despite the fact
that their MAIN focus is money and not really to do their
uttermost for YOU,
versus
The willingness of a GROUP of people to work
together towards the SAME goal at far less costs but with
some additional and dedicated effort.
